Prof. Holzinger wins an AFOSR Young Investigator Award

On Tuesday this past week Prof. Holzinger was announced as one of 58 scientists nationally to be chosen for the prestigious Air Force Office of Scientific Research (AFOSR) Young Investigator Program (YIP) grant recipient. The grant, titled "Dynamic Data Driven Electro-Optical Sensor Detection, Tracking, and Multi-Objective Control," will investigate the mutually reinforcing activities of improved electro-optical sensor data exploitation and sensor optimal control. While the research focuses on Space Domain Awareness, it has applications to both Air and Maritime domain awareness, as well as other phenomenologies (e.g. radar, sonar).
